| Overview |
| |
| The education landscape in the United States has recently seen a reverse pendulum swing in which the importance of
basic skills in reading comprehension, mathematics and the core sciences has reemerged as critical, reversing a 20-year trend. Products
such as Kumon have become increasingly popular for teaching the skills that, while now recognized again as critical, are not part of
the normal curriculum. These products are too expensive for use outside of the realm of private education, however, costing upwards
of $50 per student per month. K-Educator will offer a fully customizable, computerized equivalent of the high-end product at a fraction
of the cost to both individual parents and school systems. |
| |
| The goals of this product are: |
- To help educate any person with the basic math and science skills.
- To help the parents by providing another teaching resource that works on the family's timeframe.
- To provide the same high-level of educational training regardless of a student's background.
|
| For some students, these CBTs will simply act as a reinforcement of their current knowledge base where for others it will be the key to their success.
Given this, we will provide multiple offerings of each subject. |
| |
| The actual product is a suite of teaching aids for each subject. We will offer a 12-week lesson plan that will teach each subject in
a slower paced, but extremely detailed narrative. At the completion of each week will be a test on the materials that must be passed before the student
is allowed to move on to the following week of work. |
| |
| We will also provide a "refresher course" that will outline the main topics and formulas, plus offer several tests against the
material. A third offering in the suite will be a "test exam" that consists of randomly selected questions from a library of possible questions. The final
offering will be a "final exam" that should prove a student's overall competency within the subject. |
